The Power Of The Written Word

The power of the written word remains though the clientele has diminished in number and quality. If only the literate writers of epochs past could see what has happened to the pen and the page, they would see the tragedy rising in the global cultures of the world. In fact, in heartfelt and earnest intention I press into such an endeavor–to shine light and create moments of profound enrichment–yet I have come to realize that my own depth cannot produce such an outcome. Furthermore, in my naiveté I did at one time believe that I could be a catalyst to a few desperate souls, though after reading the Scriptures, I realized that there was little to nothing effectual that could be said, so that a person should put down the Good Book to read what I might pen in moments of inspiration. Needless to say, perhaps the best thing I can encourage in the life of a person is to put down every good and great distraction, whether in print or otherwise, to prayerfully read the real book of wisdom.
